It is not PC to write about alcohol because the locals will get their knickers in a twist that you now can buy alcohol and they can not, in the good old days we use to drive along roads showing them our beer cans and throw them our empty cans to smell

They're pretty crap. They also conveniently don't mention there's 30% tax once you get to the cashier.

Still, it's worth having the license for the convenience.

You can buy Fosters in Sydney?!?!?

Although drink is easy to come by without one, in terms of stupid reasons to get thrown out of the country (being caught drunk or with drink in your car) then I thought it useful to get one too, doesn't half take the hassle out of things.

I've posted a long description of how to get one if you have an Abu Dhabi visa but live in Dubai on here before so search if that's your problem, it can be a real pain in the backside to work it out otherwise.
