I am a female Dutch citizen looking for work in Dubai as a sales person, preferrably in a mall shop. I have a few years experience in customer service while working at a record store and supermarket in the Netherlands.

My basic needs are, of course, the visa, a substantial salary to survive, and a one-year contract with annual leave benefits.

A substantial salary (in European terms) and sales assistant job will not coincide in Dubai. If you're in Dubai already, you'll see why - most shop sales people come from Asia where salaries are much lower than Europe so a Dubai salary of 2k-3k per month is attractive to them. But is probably insufficient to keep you stocked up with zoute haring for the month .

Try a recruitment agency (but don't expect much), try contacting niche shops directly that might be interested in a European sales assistant. I'm trying to think of one but struggling (perhaps fashion or jewellery?). If you have the experience, a managerial position might be possible.
