Dry Cleaner's F'ed Up Dec 12, 2007
Yeh, Apsara Dry Cleaner's on Bank Street gave me back my new pants and I discovered this morning they're covered in the ink they use to mark each item.

In Australia, UK and US, if this happened they'd replace them. Any suggestions?

Take the pants back and have it out with them.

Good luck... they will just apologise but won't do anything (because they can't).

Is there or isn't there?

By not doing anything about it, its condoning this kind of behavior.

Dubai is trying to be 1st world and charging 1st world prices, but is oh so 3rd world.

It IS still third world, by strict international definition.

If you know what is 3rd World, you would never refer to Dubai as such

Well Yanni, what do you expect?????
It must be 3rd or is there the term 4th World out there? (if not it shall be created for Dobuy) simply of the fact that most of the residents are 3rd world origin and the rest are still pirates.... the few western expat wont be able to change it ... not in a million years.
and to be honest its not their intention...

edit: there is a 4. world and Dobuy just make it.... and got the upgrade into 3. world

cheers

I'm surprised Sage didn't plagiarise the article and claim it as his own.

Kinda got off thread there (sic)

You can complain. I had a big problem with Butlers a few years ago. Screamed and stamped and kicked until I got to speak to a senior manager. In the end, they agreed to pay for a replacement item...but in dry cleaning credit! This meant I was bound to using them (and allowing them to screw up even more of my laundry!) until I had used it all up.

Then I found a decent laundry...
