How do I restore hibernate mode? Jun 10, 2006
I lost my laptop's ability to hibernate when I closed the lid for a few seconds but then, I decided to open it again before it had the chance engage in full hibernation mode. How do I restore it? Should I use the recovery CD? But using this might mean I would remove all existing applications? Is it correct to do this or is there another way? If there were system files lost, what are they?

What is the right thing to do?

Did you restart it?

What do you mean lost hibernation mode? It's working normally otherwise?

The operating system works fine but just the hybernation I can't get it to work due to, as I said, I disrupted the hybernation process by opening the lid before the screen was able to black out....while it was still processing.
