Is it beer o'clock yet? Nov 25, 2010
It's Thursday - hoorah the weekend is here. It has to be 5pm somewhere in the world so I can crack open the vino, or a beer and whatever is in the cupboard.

The best beer still is the one that gives you the early Saturday moning beer buzz.

No, that would be me lying in bath the rest of the morning listening to music.

Settle down DDS. Some people don't play or drink all week, so the weekend is time to have fun and relax. Not everyone takes to the desert in their 4x4s. And even if they did, I'm sure they bring a few brewskys with them. :drunken:

Indeed, although I'm only allowed to smell the beer just now due to stupid medications - ho hum.

Also DDS, have a drink, does not mean that a person has to keep on drinking until they are smashed. Just one or two will do to relax.

No, but yes, but no...er...I mean, there is something relaxing about getting home after a long day and having a soak in the pool and cold 'un.

I'm jealous DD, I had to remove 10cm of snow from my car this morning but I do have a cold bottle of Chardonnay which I will drink before a roaring fire.

I'd remove 10 cm of snow from the car in my skivvies and STILL take a dip in the pool. Even if it was frozen. I always keep Chardonnay popsicles in the fridge. (although I am drinking an over-spiced tomato juice right now, your idea sounds better)

Now I bet that's a sight to behold.

I read Choco wrote one or two beers "just to relax" - made me smile. Just thought I'd mention that.

Nothing like a pint of Heinekin round the pool. Alcohol is a strict no no round the pools in JBR so I can often be found drinking Heinekin from Beth's plastic beaker and matching yellow straw. I have to admit it doesn't taste quite as good as from a glass but it does hit the spot. Drinking it through a straw seems to have the same effect as an intravenous drip.

Isn't that standard behaviour in your neck of the woods?
