Bollywood into hollywood

I want those 2 minutes of my life back, except the mary poppins ending was hilarious.


Seriously, what is it with Bollywood and coyping hollywood as well as having grown up old men as the "fighting hero's".
Perhaps thats where the rest of grown up population gets their "mojo" from.

This is not bollywood, but tollywood. I see half of the problem with people not knowing the difference and then judging.

it is from South India. Southern Indians claim themselves to be different and are darker in skin colour with coconut oil. I do not want to discriminate, but people in UAE have such strong stereo type that it is difficult not to. Plus, I can not understand why South Indians are like this in UAE. They are giving the whole of India a bad name.

Bollywood has a mmix of everything and the newer movies are beyond just song and dance. I can suggest whole lot of movies that my white friends in UK loved watching.

From what I know of Bollywood (don't know much about Tollywood), they are very unique and have a huge presence worldwide.

Which begs the question, why call the indian movie making business Bollywood? In the minds of most people it will be perceived as a "copy" instead of being judged on it's own merit.

I totally agree and a fair point. I did get carried away here as UAE has made me defensive.

Lot of people in Bollywood like to call it as Indian film Industry. A lot of actors refer to that as well, but the media has been trying to mix the 2 and has marketed this term.

Also 90's saw Sony and other Hollywood houses coming down and setting shop in India. This lead to Bollywood term gaining in strength.

I doubt if this will change as Kylie Minogue, Sly, Mike Tyson are all part of this. Some of the movies are copy as the rights are bought and the same producer markets it in the West.

A few Indian movies are being made as Hollywood flicks, but sans the song and dance. They will still put it in the end like they did with Slumdog Millionaire.

Oh Please, Bollywood is even worse than the southern version. Although I don't speak the language of from India even but from whatever liitle I've seen The southern states have a much more higher quality production quality, editing and storylines.

Infact some very succesfully bolloywood movies are blantant copies from the south.

Every film industry has there good and bad flicks. The issue with Bollywood is 200 million Pakis trying their best to rip us off. We still love you guys. Enjoy and have fun.

More like a very early Jackie Chan movie.

Comparing that crap with a Jackie Chan movie is a compliment to the filmmaker!
