I stumbled upon this blog whom its author in one article have expressed exactly Why I and many others *hate* facebook!

I just hope that I am not the only person on this forum hates facebook.

Lol! No you're not the only one who hates Facebook at all. I hate it too, so do my friends... let's join hands and form a 'Facebook Haters' Club'.

I couldn't open the link, but I believe Facebook is an example of how the value of things are only measured by how much demand they generate...

FB is worth more than USD 10 billion, some even go up to 15. For me, it hardly worth a couple of minutes of my time every day :D:D

well, use of facebook is not only what the article says. article is mentioning only a tiny fraction of usage being made of facebook. i myself completely agree with article, but i don't hate fb. fb can be used to express yourself generally, which YOU think is not disturbing your own privacy.

btw, it DOES keep people connected. what is being expressed there is completely a choice from the users, though i never made an account there .

You can "delete" your friends. No one is forcing you to put up pictures, videos, and private info. If it really bothers you, delete your account. You're playing victim to a stupid site. That's worse than playing victim to a living entity.

You don't have to deactivate it to do that, just delete him from your friends list and make your profile restricted viewing. OK, if you have a lot of mutual friends, he may appear tagged in some of their albums...but you don't have to look....
