Please note, apart from December 2 - these are only indicative dates and until the moon is sighted in the correct position, are not set in stone.

Sorry I missed the fine print at the bottom that says:

Note
Muslim festivals are timed according to local sightings of various phases of the moon and the dates given above are approximations. During the lunar month of Ramadan that precedes Eid al-Fitr, Muslims fast during the day and feast at night and normal business patterns may be interrupted. Many restaurants are closed during the day and there may be restrictions on smoking and drinking. Some disruption may continue into Eid al-Fitr itself. Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha may last anything from two to 10 days, depending on the region.

My bad

You missed out George Dubya Day!

Its any arbitrary day the government feels inclined to close the city for the arrival of a moronic demagogue surrounded by an host of paranoid bouncers in black suits with funny curly things hanging out of their ears and normally co-incides with a total plunge into darkness and water falling from the sky in biblical proportions...

The whole Bush thing is over rated. No doubt he played a part in the traffic disruption but I am sure the catalyst was the rain, followed by his arrival. He shouldn't be put on the top of the list. He is SECONDARY
