What about tuning?

Do you have wideband O2 sensors?

Do you have timing control?

Model/type # of the car or muffler?

The car is a 1986 944 Turbo, sounds tricky, but very simple really.

I will say this.....it maybe wrong, but it is my experience.

I went to Fox Exhaust System, otherwise known as Skyline Exhaust in Dubai.

For just the muffler, he quoted me Dhs 1,850

To be honest, that is ridiculous, since i can get a FULL 3" exhaust system (not including the headers) for $485 including shipping from the USA. Since my car is old, i have been ordering replacement and aftermarket parts for 4 years from the USA without any problems.

Thing is, i can't just order the muffler and tip, since that vendor sells a complete kit (including copper gaskets, brackets and rubber mounts).

I don't mean to be rude, but it all comes down to the actuall part. It is just a muffler, nothing special about it. No need for mandral bends, special fittings and so on.

But yes, you would need to see the car, and see the options available before giving prices, but i am just letting you know what i experienced.

So, why don't we set an appointment, where is the location, contacts and so on?

what i got with me is actually 1 gr8 young, skilled & experinced mechanic..
he works in a garage has 10 yrs expeirnce in motor line.. he does sports car & everything rest..

and i undertake jobs for him. from tinting, stickering, interiors to building body parts, body design , engine modification/tune up, electronics etc..

he can modify any unequipped normal car for race in 30 minutes prior to the race. ( basic tune up__ + additional changes) & can guarentee the best performance without any additional equipments in the car.

however his labour charges are low.. the cost of the parts for modification comes cheap .. if you purchase it through him.

docar designs, concepts & do normal car repairs including electronics, electricals .. a/c etc ..

I got a laugh out of this eh... How exactly do you fit an extra gear/s? Or when for that matter did a 'double clutch' transform from a driving manuevoir into a physical part on a car? And heather install? - I'll take 2 pls :)

Ok, I'll entertain this... so how exactly do you change gears with a double clutch car? Use both feet to depress the clutches and maybe a third foot to rev match on the accelerator?

8 gears? Hahaha, talk about overkill... guess its 4 gears for each clutch?

now thats what, if you dont know something, you should NOT keep jumping over it.

Double clutch : Instead of single clutch plate, double clutch has 2 plates.
How it works: Instead of completely pressing the pedal and shifting gears,
you can change gears by pressing the pedal half way (not completely). This allows faster gear change .

Extra gears: How do i explain ? By extra gears i do not mean, fixing an extra gear lever or an additional gear box. Adding gears ( Garari / Gear ring ) is what i mean...I seriously do not know how to explain it to you, but i sure can demonstrate to you.

**** bhagads: need to see the car to see what can be done.
I have a half day, coming monday. May be we can meet up. please give a call : 050 - 765 2006

Ahamed, now you make sense and that's the point I'm getting at - double clutch is a driving method and doesn't refer to a physical part on a car. A twin/tripple plate clutch is the term and you still have the "how it works" screwed up my friend. By ur definition I wouldn't need to even engage the clutch if I have a tripple plate clutch yeah? ;)

So if you don't know what parts are referred to (especially when they are printed on the box) or more importantly, how they work, I'd highly doubt the extent and depth of your technical knowledge.

I see

As far as i know, i don't know any RELIABLE tuning shops here in Dubai. Those 'tuning' shops sell performance upgrades such as turbochargers, exhausts, fuel injectors, pumps, exhaust systems and so on.

Yet, they don't address the air/fuel ratio, nor do they handle the timing. Since you are from Sweden, you obviously know how critical those two components are, unless you plan on blowing head gaskets (AFR) or sever detonation (timing).
