Why is it that you can find many alcohol serving bars and restaurants in Dubai, but casinos and gambling are strictly forbidden?
Alcohol is just as haram, if not more haram than gaming.
What is the reasoning behind this decision?

i guess stupidity it is. but there must be a demand if they supply it. the people of dubai may overwhelmingly demand alcohol; so much so that if it wasn't legally available they would find another means of acquiring it.
