The golf clubs here rarely sell second hand golf balls since they prefer if you buy new balls from them... the only time I bought second hand balls was at Nad Al Sheba prior to its closure.

I might go to Karama to try to locate that shop...

Well nothing is risk-free in this environment and anything can happen in this market... but to protect herself she should make sure that her notice period is at least 3 months and that there is NO probation period, especially if she's relocating from overseas. That effectively is a salary guarantee ...

Bank Account Freeze and Mortgage Repayments

Can someone shed some light on this area... I have been informed that upon cancellation of the residency visa, the bank account will be freezed. First of all I wasn't aware there is an interlink between visa and the bank... and assuming that is the case, what happens if I wish to leave the UAE, but ...

But actually when I changed jobs towards the end of last year, my new working visa wasn't issued until a month after cancellation of the previous visa... and my bank account during that period was not affected. I guess like everything else here... it's a "case-by-case" basis with no consis...

There is no residency visa associated with property ownership in Dubai. The government is considering a multi-entry visa for property owners, which is pointless for those with passports of similar rights.

Hi, Yes Discovery Garden is under 100% freehold for expatriates. Purchasing an apartment here is similar to other parts of the world whereby you can obtain a bank mortgage in the range of 60-80%. Using a broker would say you a lot of headaches dealing with the banks here, I used one when I got my mortgage and glad that I did.

However without a job or stable income I doubt that you can get any finance from the banks here.
