Well, to be fair I was only a kid, and myself and a best mate wondered what his cat would look like with no hair.

Considering we grew up in a climate not unlike Dubai, I don't think the cat minded going Hollywood for a while.

Never never shave those delicate areas. Stubble is horrid and not only that it increases the chance of ingrowing hairs. Ian - the hair of animals actually helps keeps them cool aswell as warm, so your cat was probably hotter and more agitated after you took it's hair off. Well... it wasn't my cat.....
