JOB DESCRIPTION
• Sales Representative/Manager
• To sell magazine display advertising
• The "Sales Manager “term is used for the reason that it is the company expectation that the "Sales Managers" are to be able to work on their own, sell on the product, hit target at a minimum and develop the product that they work on (i.e. the possibility is there for a GOOD sales manager launch awards ceremonies for their associated magazine, conferences, additional magazines, supplements and anything else that generates revenue.)
• It is a very target oriented role and company.
• Aims to increase revenue generation through acquiring new business and retaining/developing existing account relationships.
• To start, build and run your own desk
• To liaise with your in-line manager &/or Advertisement Manager to ensure forward planning is accurate and relevant
• You will be selling at board level

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

• Must have media sales experience – a proven deal closer.
• Must work successfully in a team and on your own.
• You must be an enthusiastic, talented, positive and professional individual.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a creative edge
• Hardworking and diligent with fantastic organisational skills
• A superb account handler with great relationship building skills
• Must be able to prove that they can search for their own leads, identify and CLOSE potential clients.
• Must be able to work either on the phone (100 calls per day) or go out and meet clients face to face either via meetings at client offices or at exhibitions (could be anywhere in the world)
• Experience in magazine sales and have an understanding of how sales interacts with editorial, production and distribution.
