Can wife (dependant) stay behind till end-of-school year

My busband might get a job in other country. If he gets it, he will have to leave in Fabruary/March. I want to stay for my child until end of school day in summer (June). Is that possible? What do I need to do? Will my husband's current employer cancel his work visa immediately? Will all dependents have to leave the country with him?
