i'm fishing out about 5k-7k for a new tv...it has to be atleast 42"...

everyone (except me) at home watches a lot of tv and indian channels at that...i however occasionally watch movies...however i do have an XBOX360 while i play for a couple of hours everyday at night...

what i wanted to know is what is the best option to buy...a lcd or a plasma...and any brands that people recommend? any do's and don'ts that i should look out for?

LCD is recommended

& Sony would be my ultimate choice
