Mobile phones Dec 11, 2007
Hi there, just wondered what everyone does in dubai re mobile phones, is it advisable to cancel ur contract in UK and get pay as u go in dubai? Also do people use skype to speak to people back home and if so how much does it cost?
Appreciate any useful advice, cheers.

hello mate.
best thing to do is...
cancel the contract and bring a pay as u go sim...so u can top up online.
T mobile is the cheapest for text.

Then download skype to a memory stick in uk and upload it to a pc in Dubai.
you can also use voipstunt here.
(free to call landlines anywere in the world)
another tip....get yourself a TESCO internet phone and you can use it freely over here.also free to other tesco phone users.
and can be topped up online.

Cheers for advice gezza. As i'm bringing my laptop over which has skype on already i presume i can continue using it over there without having to save it to memory stick?
