Love Dubai: Our economy is strong—how to make it more stable?

Dubai is a global miracle. Tourism, trade, finance, real estate and events are world-class, and we are all proud of it.

For long-term stability, Dubai’s economy relies heavily on services, consumption and real estate. Manufacturing and solid industries are relatively small, which means higher external dependence and room to improve resilience.

This is not criticism—it’s about making Dubai stronger and safer. Suggestions:

1. Develop high-value light manufacturing: luxury beauty, food, fashion, electronics, drones, etc.

2. Upgrade from a tourism & consumption hub to an industry & innovation hub.

3. Attract and retain talent in industry, tech and R&D.
