A friend had her house broken into last night and had cash stolen.

There seems to be a spate of break-ins going on at the moment, especially in areas such as the Springs/Meadows/Jumeirah and Um Sequim.

A reminder that if you have those sliding doors, make sure that when they are shut and you're not in the house or are sleeping, that you wedge a broom handle in the gap, to prevent the doors being opened from the outside - which is very easily done.

Also, donot forget to lock all doors and windows when you are out. When going for a holiday, donot spread that information around.
