Hummm… no bashing material today ?

Oh well since I’m free today I took some time to look at what the UK media fuzz about Dubai is all about , well not much really !! I’m not good at this but this is what I figured out or understood and again I’m not good at this :

1-Everyone mixed “Dubai” with the private businesses.
2-The Dubai debts are way lower than UK ,“ 850b pound’.

3-AD can bail Dubai with a phone call

what is really going on here ? or what triggered all of this. I mean if inverters got hurt in Dubai it would’ve been much worse else where. If are telling me that the real-estate booming was too fast I would say look at the numbers of ppl coming every months to work here . it was justified I would say.ppl left Dubai !good for Dubai LOOOL

1-why do u think Dubai wont come back by 2010 ? in case AD bails it out ?
2-why did everyone linked Dubai government with the private businesses in general and didn’t do the same else where ?
3-why was Dubai got the attention of the media and it is less effected than other business cities ?
4-Why did every one referred to Dubai isolated that it’s country and all the other effected countries as a hall like US ,UK or Germany?
Well I know the answer to the last one, it’s bcz we as UAE are untouchable I guess,right?

for one thing, they got no ground to stand on, like BBC said, every one is taking a swing at Dubai but non is welling to admit it is all bcz of Dubai unique ties to the world financial community which meant that Dubai was on a good track regardless of the ression shadow. but I understand ppl frustration, panic and the need to let their angers out... let them be.

And in case of DFs, well as you can see we got those frustrated ppl who are so deep in feeling the fear of being without a job or ensecured and got themselves in a position to be the audiences of unemployed speakers giving speeches and advices .

If they feel that this is their salvation to their problems what ever they are, then again let them be. It's a psychological stage of effectiveness and a normal human reaction in crisis time .or it could be just killing time!

1. Because it owes too much money and there is no market for what Dubai does which is build flats and villas that on one will occupy. Simply suplpy and demand.
2. Becuase in other countries (real or pretendign to be real countries) the private entities and goverment are separate not so in dubai.
3. How do you know that Dubai is less affected than other business. don't tell me you got that from the lying media.
4. I think you mean "whole" and even then I haven't got a clue what you are trying to say.

I worked for Dubai World, and had oversight on the "investments" and have to say it would have appeared that you may have been one of the deal team or perhaps related to one or two of them. They were on the whole vanity investments with limited income capacity, bought to 'big up' the egos of the executive committee members involved.

Did you really think that Dubai buying the QE2 would add any value to that floating pile of asbestos

But it is funny ,when something good Dubai accomplish, it’s you the expats who did it but in such a situation ooooohhhh no it’s the “executive committee members”
For unemployed guy, you sure are spending more than you suppose to on internet fees, or are you hanging in coffees hops with free wifi searching a job all day ?

Don't be silly kid, that would involve paying for a coffee.
Any good tight-arse knows that there are places with free wifi and you don't have to buy a cofee. Just look for all of the curry munchers sitting around the shopping mall with their 5000 dirham laptops. And one white guy (probably dutch).
