My daughter worked 12 hours a day for 3200 AED (+ 2000 for accommodation that she spent on petrol, salik, and meals at work).She would come home pale at the evening time. Exhausted. They all had to do the same amount of work per day in a workshop. Being Bosnian (hard workers) she would finish her work by noon. And instead of letting her go home, they would just assign her paperwork in the office, as she is a capable mashaallah, real educated girl. She can do programming in Python, she works on computers and engineering softwares, knows languages... So she worked hard every day and for what??? For crumbs. While her coworkers have a 5 times bigger salary for the same job (done slowly all day). She saw that fact in papers that she had to work on after her regular paid work. She was volunteering half day so to say. And plus visa issues in UAE. It is much easier to get a job in Real Estate than to find anything in Engineering (emiratization is a priority for Fresh Graduates).
In Real Estate my kids do advertisements that will probably not benefit them, but will benefit UAE inshaallah. And we are all fine with that. Maybe they are only Real Estate Agents that put likes on posts of other Real Estate Agencies and support to other agents in UAE. Because we know that rizq will come as Allah wants, we shall not be afraid of others. What is written to be ours it will come, what is not written it will never come, even if we do whatever. At the same time bringing investors to the UAE is enough, nevermind if they will be our customers or to somebody else.Now my kids are having their minimal salaries and doing mostly advertising, and I don't know when they will start selling, or will anyone want to buy, but at least they are not exhausting themselves 12 hours a day.
How to explain to my family our situation, they have not be homeless except during the war.I stay in hotels whenever I visit my country with my children. And now my family asks why we are not like others. Others come often, send gifts and money, they work for what they are educated for etc. As for me, I prefer to visit Makkah and Madinah rather than my country. Our hotels are outdated (sarcasm).
I never did anything right ever since my birth. I came legs-front, not like other normal children. I cried like no other child ever. I never submitted, I endured anything, I was satisfied with nothing rather than to be pleaser, they could not buy my loyalty, I was no of use to anyone in anything, I didn't play like they play, I didn't say what they wanted me to say, I didn't even try to fit. And now even my children are useless, we don't do what other people normally do, we don't live like other people live, we have too much FREE TIME and nobody from my family or friends or people of my country has ever time for me or for anything important to me. Like one single click on some link, one simple VOTE, opening of some website....
They have no time to reply to messages or email. One of them told me that I always send message in wrong time. She can read it in a right time I suppose. But what do I know... They have NO TIME.
And then I just think: Prophet Muhammed s.w.s. was so perfect, and yet his family and friends (except minority) didn't like him as well, didn't accept him, didn't value him. So who am I to complain? Alhamdulillah I found other people to tolerate me, other country to accept me as I am, other people who find me awesome and amazing and even special! My children found a country that use them as a role-models in student-social impact balance, as being excellent and yet still volunteering and impacting society. We are inspiration for many, yet losers for our family and "friends".
I just want to say alhamdulillah we found our home, we found people and we found jobs. Even if we don't benefit from it, our home will benefit from it. Our home that is tolerant, acceptable, secure and trustworthy. Our new people that do not bully anyone. How strange you must be in this world that you find more acceptance amongst strangers than your own people and family???

)))) Why we never do anything right? Because we do it left, in reverse, on-side, upside-down. We claim our own ways and approaches to life problems. We are not like others (them), we are like everyone else (all of us).
