In the recent days I have been watching some youtube videos about americas future plan in respect of the economy and the economic crisis. In a few clips the term "amero" came up as being the new north american, mexican and canadian currency. Does anyone have solid information about this new currency, as there are also lots of conspiracies around this topic. If this amero should come what will happen to the US dollar? Will it be deflated like the reichs mark in germany after the war? Some indication for this could be the dumping of another trillion USD into the monetary system. If so what will happen to the dirham, which is still pegged to the USD?

I have been watching those video's too, but I think this is some kind of populistic guy that says he has Amero's in his pocket and they have been shipped to the Chinese already for approval or something like that...

No, the Chinese and Russia are currently looking for alternative options for the worlds reserve currency as more and more economists of 'banker nations' in the Asia Pacific region are troubled my current US monetary policy.
The IMF recently gave notice of considering a basket of world currencies that are used in its old calculation models for determining economic growth figures and they are reviewing this for a possible introduction as an alternative worlds reserve currency.

The dollar is losing ground, thats for sure. America thought for a while that they were Tom Sawyer while using the Asians to paint their fence...
The dollar is indeed losing buying power rapidly and last week alone it lost 5 percent of its buying power in a day when Ben Bernanke reported that the Federal Reserve is going to use quantative easing (or monetizing its balance sheet) to counter deflationary forces in the private sector.

If the dollar goes down, the buying power of the dirham goes down too. And when the UAE central bank prints more money for Dubai bailouts or other bank stimulus'....your Dirham buying power is eroding even faster as inflation takes ground.

Dollar is in serious peril. Not kidding.

Well with the Mexicans infiltrating the US and probably border crossing into Canada, there may be a good possibility that the new currency will be the peso.
