can anyone help please?

My houseboy wants a motorbike - he says you do not need a licence for small cc engine!

Can you insure it if you don't need a licence?

What do motorbikes cost here (he is talking of buying one for dhs800) I would rather buy him a new one, but need to be clear on the legalities.

I am happy to buy him lessons, but he is adamant he doesn't need them.

Does anyone know, without me having to go to traffic dept, have tried calling but getting nowhere.

you do NOT require license for small CC engine bikes, but they are illegal to drive on main roads, he can go to the grocery and come back with it, thats all..

What do you call a small cc bike? Ok, I am not happy with him being on the road with no insurance....

I guess it looks like I need to buy him bike lessons, for him to be fully legal.

Can anyone else offer any words of wisdom with regards to this?
