anyone know of specific serviced apartments that are good/reasonably priced.

Is there any specific reason you are looking for a serviced apartment. Part-time labour is so cheap and easily available. Why don't you just get a furnished apartment and have someone come in daily. The person who comes to my house is efficient and does a good job, he would only take about AED350 for the whole month and do an hour (and sometimes even a little more) worth of cleaning everyday. He is in Bur Dubai, just in case anybody is interested ....although I offer no guarantee on trustworthiness (he appears to be deserving) but life has taught me you never know with anyone so........
