So if you want to commit a crime in Barsha, anytime after 2pm is fine with the Keystone Kops.

Have the Dubai police actually stopped any crime - ever? I've kever seen or heard of even a traffic stop (let the cameras do the work..).

Another thread knocking the Emiratis. Why do you people stay here? I see plenty of police around the place on a daily basis stopping cars, and Emiratis at that. You are never going to hear about the police stopping crime because the crime has never taken place because it was prevented. Dear Lord, it's not rocket science.

Oh, and I just read in the GN that a landlord in Barsha is burgled every 5 minutes.

He's now getting so p!ssed off

I went back there this morning and laughed like a bucket to see a load of clueless Keystone Kops standing around a large hole in the fence of the car impound where someone had ram raided it and taken off with a number of choice vehicles!!!

I do not think there are many Emirati uniformed coppers. I think the majority of patrol cops are from neighbouring countries.

A lot of them are, i agree, but I'm not only refering to the patrol cops.

Well…. I just figured out why they are open only from 9AM to 2PM.

Their statistics say that no crime in the city occur after 2PM. So why should they remain open after 2???

You see DK….They’re smarter than what you think!!!

To be fair..I was approached by one of Dubai's finest to assist them with a troubled motorist the other day and it was NEARLY 4pm. Seems the driver of the Jeep had run out of gas and none of them (driver included) could figure out how to get the gas cap off. There were 2 cop cars on scene and one dispatched to get help. I'm not even kidding!
