Security and Stability in UAE Jun 29, 2008
WAM Abu Dhabi, Jun 28th, 2008 (WAM): President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan asserted that the security and stability the UAE is blessed with, are not only the outcome of security measures and precautions the country has adopted, but also are the result of its keenness to provide every one who lives on the soil of the country with the opportunity to live and earn in honour and dignity.

In a comprehensive interview with Lebanese newspaper 'Al-Nahar' published on Saturday, Sheikh Khalifa also said that the alerts issued by certain foreign diplomatic missions in the country, warning their people living in UAE, are nothing more than the conventional practices those missions usually adopt to handle rumours or information, regardless of their validity. UAE respects the right of all countries to adopt measures they deem fit to protect their people, Sheikh Khalifa added. --- MORE --- WAM/AB

Well for the most part it is good!

Although I managed to go through security at the airport last week with a load of liquids in my hand luggage, no-one bothered to check.

Can we be feel ourself free of acts of terrorism?

Dubai is safer than ANY STREET in London. And before anyone reacts, I am not taking any sides. I am neither british or an emirati. Not that London is terribly dangerous.

Just that Dubai is lot more safer than London.

From my point of view one of major reason - there is no drunk people walks streets and gardens. As we know alcohol gets mind away and drives people to "heroism" leads to crimes.
