An incredible anime for sure... a MUST see for all those who like to stay on their toes for long time. The anime is made out of 37 episodes, each one of them is a state of art on itself.
The anime talks about the existence of the Shinigami world, a realm where the Gods of Death still roam around, after being discarded by humans and no longer needed to aid them in their battles. These shinigamies spend their days doing nothing but to watch over the human world, while one of them, Ryuk, decides to tamper with the mankind. And so he dropped his NOTE BOOK into the human realm. This note book has a very special ability in it... it can KILL people whose name is written on its pages, and even more who uses the book can even control his victims and their actions before their death. The book falls into the hand of Light Yagami, a young teen who is known for outsmarting his colleagues, and so he decided to use the note book to change the world... To clean it from all the criminals...
As the days go through, people start to cheer for him and gave him the nickname Kira. As the rumors goes on, the Japanese police and the FBI decided to stand against the notorious Kira, leading their team by non other than Light’s (Kira) father, who is a chief of police.
Try after another, the Japanese police failed to locate Kira or to determine the way he kills his victims, and so they hire an international detective known as ‘L’, who is known for solving many difficult cases around the world.
And so as the episode goes, the battle between Kira and ‘L’ goes on, and leading the famous detective to get closer than anyone else to the truth behind Kira (Light).
The art used to draw this anime is very high in class and the English Dubbed voice was made suitable for all the characters..
