That's a tough question. I believe you create your own luck. I believe that destiny can guide you with a gentle hand but then you have to take the cues, read the signs, make your own luck and ultimately make your own destiny. I do believe in karma though.

I believe also in karma.

Every action in your life gets a part of your karma.

I guess, I believe in destiny. I`m sure that all very important things in your life are already written down in a big book.

You can just make decisions about "unimportant" things.

For example: Which movie should I watch?
.
.
.
That`s an unimportant decision......
.
.
.
But when Mr. Right is sitting next to you in the cinema.....maybe the decision of which movie wasn`t luck, but rather destiny.....

It's impossible to believe in all three... destiny, luck and Karma.

Well... I asked Dr. and he said.

Destiny means it cannot be changed.

Karma means you get good from good, meaning you can change the outcome through your actions, thus negating destiny.

Luck means it just happens without cause or resolution from your actions which negates Karma. Luck also eludes to being in the right place at the right time, which is counter to destiny, because there was no luck, it was 'destined'.

All three are incompatible beliefs.

I wouldn't question Dr.D on these things... his record speaks for itself.

You can believe in karma, luck and destiny at the same time.

Destiny: The frame of your life is already written down.

Luck: Some "unimportant things" are in your hands.
Or like Ian said.....right time, right place....

Karma: When your behaviour is bad, when you hurt people, animals,...
and so on......then you get negativ points on your karma account.
You will get back all the negativ sh***in this life or in the next
one.
Well, it is possible to believe in k, l, and d!!!

Just the frame of the puzzle is ready.....the middle has to be create

It's a good theory but no, they are incompatible concepts.

In fact, any concept that belies some invisible force is responsible for your 'lot' in life is a load of hogwash.

I can be totally sure - things just don't 'happen'. You have to make them happen.

Well... perhaps you're proof of that.

I still believe in Nessie.

I'm kind of with Ian on this one. Sort of. I believe that something does guide you gently along a path. By that I mean putting you in places and situations where you have to make your own decisions. I can't believe that it's someone's destiny to be homeless. Or it's a child's destiny to be killed in a car crash. We're put it those situations everyday. For example, I go to the pub. Do I have a pint or 12? Do I call a cab or do I get in the car and drive home drunk? Every decision we make twists and turns the path you're on. If I choose to drink 12 pints of glorious Guinness and get in my car and kill someone driving drunk that's quite a different path than had I gotten in the cab and went home to wake up the next day. I don't think destiny guides you on those. I think maybe people call destiny in when they're hoping things turn out for the best. For example, I turned a job down in Dubai last April because my wife wasn't comfortable leaving her home town. I obviously really wanted to go but decided my wife is more important than my geographic location. So now I'm here under a foot of snow, not doing professionally what I want to and saying, there's a reason for everything. I guess it was 'destiny' that made me stay for some reason. I dunno. As I said, I do think there is something that guides you. I believe you create your own luck. And I do believe in Karma. Whether or not that Karma comes from some cosmic place or my own head because I know what's right and wrong. Hope that makes sense.

Ah but you see I have been DOWN there. I have been to the Monster Research Centre, and I have been around the entire Loch... done the research, compiled the evidence... and I can tell you with 100% certainty,

there is no Nessie.
