Product Engineer/ Mechanical Engineering jobs in UAE

I am a product engineer from USA. I have 4 years of experience. I would like to move to UAE for a future job. Would anyone have an idea of what salary would I expect? Does Dubai export any goods?

I was curious to know whether Dubai Designs/ develops any products... like may be Air conditioners.. I am not sure.

As I am a product engineer, it would help me target those companies during my job search.

Any response would be appreciated...

I have been visiting Dubai job search sites lately... and all I can find here is Servicing/ Maintainence kinda jobs.... It that all to it? My gut tells me that UAE atleast need to build its own Air conditioning as it is a necessity.. and product engineers need to be there to know the customer requir...

Actually I have other personal issues...

hearing lots of layoffs but still companies looking for people They lay-off their old employees and hire new employees offfering them a very low income. Dont you think re-hiring is an expensive deal.. and then training to get them up to speed? I think firing and rehiring is not a very good business...
