Voice-over workshop

Do you know of any organisation, club or school offering voice-over training or workshop? I am very interested and look forward to learn more about it. Searched the net but most trainings and workshops are offered in U.S. and London. Anywhere in central Dubai would be perfect if you know of any. Ple...

Yep, you're right. Most talents are hired either UK, US or AUS. I once did a voice service for a phone card that was sold mainly in Japan. The experience was great! And was thinking of learning more 'bout it. I guess if there is indeed no training or workshops offered here in Dubai, might as well wa...

Re: What it's like

It's a nice place to visit, but.... Unfortunately, too many of the locals tend to be materialistic, superficial, and arrogant. As bosses, they can often be hard to work for. Of course, there are some exceptions. Not all are like that. Yet, a very large percentage of the locals are that way. If you ...

Read the book (Angels and Demons) too. Liked it except for the last few chapters of the book. It seems like he ran of better ideas to end it. Ho hummmmmm.... especially the helicopter thing! My favourite is still the Da Vinci Code.

Whoa!!! Thanks for the info! You really made me look and check at our passports. Very strange for the immigration officers to do that. I am usually confident with the system here in Dubai and that is "it always works"! Will definitely be more aware on this next time.

An advance welcome to Dubai. Well it actually depends on what area you are considering to move. There are loads of real estate agents here i.e., Cluttons, Olympus, Arabian Dreams, Arabian Homes, etc. Endless!!! Some of them especialize in a specific area or type of unit (apartment or villa) or both....

If you signed up with Showtime you should get BBC Prime.. no problem.
Ask their customer service how to get the signal for that station and may send a technician to do some re-tuning. We are a Showtime subscriber and we are NOT HAPPY!!! Since you've signed up already, goodluck.

Quotes from S** & The City.....

Dedicated to all ladies who are in a relationship, in a mess or simply thinking of a good excuse to bail out!!!! 1. If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay. 2. Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. 3. If you have ANY doubt in your mi...

I agree with Barzie. Renting a car is the best option for you especially for a short stay of 6 months. Try Thrifty or if your company has a corporate deal with a leasing company, you may get a better deal. When you lease a car, you don't have to worry for the insurance MOST ESP maintenance or unexpe...

Well, you have to decide whether you want to go to Europe or somewhere close to UAE. Europe is farther and will take you at least 7 hours to travel. Therefore, more expensive. I recommend; - Croatia (if you love sun, water, beach or just to enjoy nature); - Italy, Rome. Beautiful city and has a lot ...

What a nice thing to share. Sometimes I hear stories that their colleagues treat them like trash. Never had a problem so far. Always go to pubs and bars with my partner, I guess. But going to a bar as a couple is not necessarily an assurance that you can get in. Between the two, I recommend Intercon. If you love to drink, then Taj is not for you 'coz the hotel is dry (don't serve alchoholic drinks). But if you are looking for a luxury and modern hotel, you may consider Grand Hyatt (deluxe), Hilton Dubai Creek and Traders (boutique hotels) and of course, Le ...
