I think the Knight is holding a candle for a forum member with many many posts!

I have several platonic relationships.
Some I am happy about being as they are because the girls in question are really cool and I get on with them even though I don't fancy them. This doesn't mean we sit around discussing shoes, ill fitting bras, PMT and erogenous zones, but we can discuss more meaningful subjects such as music, films, art and the difference between the air speed velocity of the African and European swallow.

Others are platonic because the girls in question are either 'out of bounds' (hooked up, married or gay) or just out of my league. Doesn't stop me fancying them like hell, just means I have to sit on my hands and keep the whole thing in the realms of fantasy.

Which is sometimes better than reality.

None of the above stops me from being fully aware of the implications of taking a relationship from being platonic to full hard core, headboard busting, whips and chains, swinging from the chandelier status.

Just as long as both parties are aware of 'The Rules' then bring on the Richard Cleyderman CD, candle-bra and smoochy dinner for two scenario anytime. Not many girls can resist a prawn cocktail, steak and chips, black forest gateau dinner washed down with a bottle of Black Tower liebfraumilch!

Knight, what a refreshing post! Yes, I can believe you have a way with the ladies with your smooth talking ways. It's years since I've had a bottle of leiberfraumilch and a slice of black forest gateau. That is indeed, posh. I remember one of my first boyfriends taking me out for a meal to the bus station in Sunderland where he treated me to a plate of chips and gravy. I later married him. I have moved on now and won't accept less than a fish finger supper on a first date.
I just have one misgiving at your post. Out of your league? Never think like that Knight, no one is ever out of your league. If they choose not to appreciate what you have, then that's their loss, but out of your league? Never! Always think positive and go for it.

These are the predators (the women that is!) they hunt with the sole objective of capturing and taming this money machine that enables them to get the fix they need: Its a retail thing.

The guys are interested in them because they are 'trophies'. A little fluff to be seen on their sleeve when out dandifying the town and impressing their sycophantic mates. And a shag is always appreciated!
