many thanks for your recommendations. i know the restrictions on alcohol but want to enjoy a beer whilst sitting outside (coming from a very damp UK) taking in a view or two. anywhere where this is possible? do the bars/ restaurants around the madinat jerumiah (??) offer this?

late 30's post xmas bulge. Used to play a good standard but had to pack up because of knee. now limited to friday night 5 aside and the social side of things. arriving Monday, would love to do something simalar!!

Well my 3 unaccompanied suitcases left our house yesterday ( we follow them on Sunday) and it turns out that they wont be with me in Dubai until late next week or the wee(hopefully)as they are going via Hong Kong !! Thing is I start work next Thursday and all my suits are .....yes you guessed it ......
