Sex Toys in Dubai (Airport) Nov 26, 2007
I am sorry if I am upsetting some of you with that question. But my boyfriend and me are going to spend the NewYear in Dubai and we want to bring our sex toy. Just a artificial penis.

No I have heard from friends that it is not allowed in Dubai, I cannot understand. Now my plan is to put it in the big luggage, will they check that? Not the hand luggage. The big one.

We are from Germany. So last time when I went to Dubai I just went out of the Airplane and took my luggage from the lobby and went out within 10 min. I don't think they check it on arrival. On departure they do check.

So anybody any solution or clearance. Thank you.

hahahaha.
Funny.
Erm....you can book a certain company begining with M..(im sure someone will know the name)but they meet you of the plane and fast track u through customs/even collect your bag.
I would recomend using them and packing IT in the big suitcase.

Have a fun time in Dubai!!!! :D

they have changed things at arrivals now, all incoming hand luggage is x-rayed, as well as passenger suitcases. once you have collected your luggage from the collection point you then have to go through a green/ red customs corridor. they also now stop people for random inspections.

what i found helps is look haggard, pissed off and un-shaven (in the case of your boyfriend :) ). also look as if you know where your'e going and don't look around to much, if the customs people look at you hold thier glaze for a while, but not too long or they get suspicious :)

wasn't it the bee gees that sang "good vibrations"? have a good christmas

Sage isn't into that 'new music' that kids these days listen to.

uhm, so there is really a risk. But I mean if they'll find it, they won't put me in jail right? Maybe they'll just confiscate it. So I think there is a chance to get through. But for sure I'll put it into the passenger suitcase (big one) and not in the hand luggage. 8)

BTW: Can Silicone be seen through the X-Ray? Maybe there are different X-Ray Systems with different Filters. eg for metal one for organic and non-organic or? :?:

they have a software recognition system in place, it alerts the operator to suspicious looking objects in lugage, the operator then looks at the image and deciedes what to do about it - let it through or open it up. they have similar systems in europe

you used to be able to buy it over the counter at the pharmacy, but you may have to ask sage to confirm that :D

i was thinking about the vibrator last night (purely academic of course), and came up with a solution (definitely no pun intended)..

if they were stopped at customs, her boyfriend could claim to have been the victim of a terrible, horrible, debilitating industrial accident... and that it was in fact a spare prosthesis ….

Which I suppose would work fine, unless they asked to look

Dude, my "draw-face-and call-it-a-toy" idea was better. And what's with all these threads about vibrators? There are enough "bachelors" around.

Saskia,

We bought a vibrator in through customs in our suitcase (not hand luggage). Viagra is available over the counter without prescription in all pharmacies.

From drunk converstaions with friends and their wives / girlfriends I think that vibrators are regularly bought through customs.

Oddly I noticedthat they sell them in duty free section of Vienna airport, so I don't see how anyone could object if you flew from there.

I doubt you will have a problem.

Keep having fun...

What's wrong with your boyfriend's?
My friends recently was searched for some CD/DVD he brought in, probably they were looking for pirated and p0rn-related stuffs. It's less obvious than love toy so don't take risk, leave it at home
