Mate a trip to Alaska isn't that expensive. Rio's pretty cheap as well.

really? i've never been to egypt. i was thinking for my next diving trip. first i thought sharm-el-sheikh, but then hurghada was into consideration too as i might go also to luxor by land and there's more hangout places there (one is ministry of sound, don't know if it's good, just curious as i like their album compilation).
tell me more.

i always wanted to see aurora (fairbanks?), also actually i was thinking that trip might include also trip down to canada (down to vancouver, to see the place if i'd move there someday) by sea or land (train?). thinking also if there's extra money to go down to san francisco. so i thought it would not be that cheap.

rio might not be too expensive, but then considered "far" ;)
i worry about crimes tough.

The Greek Islands take a lot of beating. After reading www.visit-zante.co.uk , I want to go there. It is also called Zakynthos.
Crete [www.visit-crete.co.uk ] and Dubrovnik in Croatia are also on the list. There's a lot to be said for the Mediterranean. Very relaxing and full of historical interest.
Nothing like sitting with a coffee or a beer in the warm sun [ about 80 degrees with a dry heat!] at a pavement cafe in the Med , watching the girls go by.
Marvellous!
