But it's all a joke anyway. Until they start patrolling the roads properly it doesn't matter. When you see a guy in a BMW 745 drive past a cop car at 190km/h and the cop does nothing you really have to wonder why they are there at all.

The police really needs to get their act together to sort out these unfortunate frequent happenings.Captain Australia wrote:But seriously, it all needs to be taken in perspective. Exactly!
I was gonna post something like that.
Divide the amount of Pakistani residents by the amount of Pakistani drivers and you'll find they're probably the safest drivers in Dubai!

You took the words right outta my mouth.. spot on mate.
I'm surprised banglaboy hasn't chipped in with his "constructive" comments so far.

you both have got to be kidding. I see arabs as the worst drivers given a chance they will run you down and kill you - even if there are ladies or children crossing the road.

my dad is a sr. transport manager for a construction company and he is in business for the past 20 years.. and we had discussed this topic and he confirms that Paki drivers are the worst, causing the company he works for last year so many fines, two deported for major accidents, another two already exceeded the 24 black points.. and the list goes on...
Paki's are usually the cheapest and usually got better experience followed by Sardar's and Syrians... but the later two demand more salary than Paki's
paki's get out tempered very fast and over react all the time

Isn't this an offensive term? Prince Harry recently got in trouble for using it. I didn't know until that incident. I hope this doesn't open another can of worms on this forum.

indians are rubbish drivers. i sent my accountant to do some work in 9am and he got back at 6pm. asked him whether there was traffic, he said no i was just driving "really" slow . i guess that means driving 50 kph in the fast lane of SZR.
i hate drivers who drive slow on the fast lane. if you want to drive slow please just move along to the 2nd, or the 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th lane. if some1 comes flashing behind you and there is no car in front of you, just move aside and let the car behind you go through.
Rather then braking and holding the guy up behind, just to show who is the "man" doesnt make sense to me.

They are from Peshavar area and speak Pashto (Afgani language). Many of them didn't even leave primary school and really from very poor families. So I doubt that their reflexes are enough for driving safely... As soon they are mostly commercial driver here, as a rule they didn't have an experience in their own country as most European did. So their driving experience rather short and theoretcal knolege is negligible.
As for me Sharjah taxi drivers (most Peshavari) are among the worst in the UAE.
