There is a huge divide of opinion in UK. Me personally - i just dont know what to make of it, one part thinks "nah no way" and the other thinking "theres no smoke without fire" and like Ian said, it wouldnt be the first time people have been hoodwinked.

What happened with the famous aussie case involving the Dingo - i cant remember if they did or didnt, i seem to rememeber there was a film made about this.

they went to prison but got freed on apeal after new evidence came to light

This is a case that divided a nation. The evidence that 'came to light' is that Dingoes do eat babies. A bit of a no brainer. Based on that alone, they were freed.
Interestingly enough, the husband who was also jailed as an accessory, has since stated that he thinks she 'could' have done it.
