why do girls hesitate to pay bills ?


HP Couple of days back , i was with a girl and we went to eat. She pissed me off by saying " Can u buy me this coffee" . Jesus christ , i am not your daddy , buy from your own damn money . I dont get money from City bank to Finance girls .
When it comes to food , they orders lot of dishes and like Dog they just smell and put it on side by saying" taste not good". :lol: If the taste is not good then why the heck u order this entire menu ? .
There were so many times i had met with girls at different cafe but one thing is common they never let the air to touch their purse. I mean what is wrong if you say
" Can i pay today" ? :lol:
well i made girls to pay so many times and when we break up ,the first taunt i get
" You eat money from girls , you are Bagger" :roll:
The most irritating part is when girls ask for money for Fuel . Oh we dont have much money , and i can not drive u out ". Then i say , i ll put the fule inside .
Get a life girls and start paying, i dont have 7 houses and one lake!! my only asset is computer , which is used for writing at DFM.
HP If u ever ask from a girl , what is the cost of cola ? she wouldnt tell u because she never bought it :lol: Concord "That" is only because everygirl that dates you (if that is possible) knows to send their money to me. Normal girls wouldn't do that and by definition the ones "dating" you are not normal (othewise they would know better than date you)! ^ian^ It's an interesting question though and one that can be hotly debated. I know of so many couple who go Dutch.... matter of fact even people living together, split the weekly shopping cost.

i think it's fair to "go dutch" especially when dating regulary (and ur bf/gf is not a milionaire)
but for a man, when he askes out a woman on a first date or something like that i think it's rude to ask her to pay the bills :roll: bushra21 Well I know from my culture its customary for the guy to pay, even if they aren't dating - as in just friends. For us, its kind of like putting the guy down if the girl pays. Or at least, thats how it is with my family and all my guy friends. When I go out with them (my friends) I offer to pay for my portion (if we are in a group), or for the bill (if it is just me and him) but they usually just get upset. When I go out with my boyfriend he pays, Ive tried paying a few times -- he wouldnt let me. I believe one time I actually forced him to let me pay though because I knew he was short on money and I didnt want him to feel pressured, so I let him know that I was paying before we went into the restaraunt and gave him the money before hand too, so he wouldnt feel as bad. But like I said, I guess its a culture thing... ^ian^ The chivalrous nature of men paying dates back to an era in most cultures where women simply did not work, therefore they had no money to pay. These days in the era of equality, where many women earn the same or more than the man who is trying to date them, I think it can be a little harsh to expect the man to pay every time. bushra21
i agree, thats why i offer to pay...but i usually get yelled at, lectured, or am given evil stares...

It looks cheap when they give us a miss call and they know that guy ll call them back no matter if he works in any aircondition office in city bank or under 42 C . We guys never learn a lesson, all we hope that one day she ll sleep with us :roll: . I admit that all money in this world is useless if there are no girls :lol:
But still u girls shuld some time offer to pay some bills , i know it is against the nature but try to change it if not then i ll say

well it looks like we will meet only when you come down to dubai. I should be there by the end of this month FeiPo I expect the man who ask me out to pay. It is only a cup of coffee of a meal!!! not a lot of money!!! if he ask me to pay I will, but I will for sure not to see this guy again. This is not to do with money, this is (I think) a tradition, if you ask a girl out, be a gentlemen, pay the damn coffee. I hate cheap a*s trying to date a girl and being so tight on every cent. However, if I like that guy, i will buy him a drink or pay for the meal when I get a chance.

I hear you...it's not about the money...the ''magic'' is just lost....I once dated a guy who let me pay for my coffee on our first date....he was so cheap,he'd always let me pay my share...He was a really really good loooking guy,but I was so disgusted by him...Anyway I dated him for like two weeks and when I saw that he was serious about me I cheated on him and after he forgave me I dumped him...so in the end he paid...

I guess a little more than a pride thing. Even though this is the 21st century and women are more independant and self sufficient a man still wants to take care of his woman. At the same time a relationship consists of 2 people (unless you belong on Springer) and there's no harm in sharing whether it be monetary or emotionally. Corcovado
well in a relationship the emotional part is a given ...but in terms of money it depends on the personality i think , i know some girls who think thats its their right and the man's duty to pay for everything ..but i also know some women and me who dont believe so ...if u work and well paid its good to share , i am not saying 2 fight over the bill everytime , but a woman can invite her man 2 dinner sometimes ... or 2 watch a movie or whatever and ofcourse pay ... 8) 8) Tayeb? 8) XRW-147

So how you doin ;) bushra21 i realized though when i pay, my boyfriend gets extremely embarresed and goes very quiet. like the other day i called him and invited him out for lunch. well we went, we ate, we smoked (sheesha!), and when the bill came i told him since i invited i should pay. he just kept looking at me and wouldnt let go of the bill. so i put the money on the table and said ok, you put it inside, but im still paying. the whole ride back he kept on apologizing for me paying....when i was the one who had offered! so i dunno, like i said before i feel bad when a guy always pays for me but then i feel even worse after i pay because i feel like i had made them uncomfortable (because of the culture thing of guys always paying)..... ufffffffffffff minkoom Corcovado

No ,excuse me......I said I dated him for two weeks...and during that time he never even offered to pay a drink...not a meal....but a drink...I think it was me who paid the first time we went out cause he didn't even open his wallet and I gave the waiter a bill which was more then my share...and I can't even describe how stupid I felt...and then there was a situation where I ran into him in some club...he was with friends and I was with a friend...we just got back from the cinema and we were on the motorcycle and were heading home,I don't think we had any money with us and they saw us and invited us to come and when sat down he asked if I had money and I said no and my friend only had money for gas...so when the waiter came and took orders the two of us said ''nothing,thank you''and he didn't even offer to buy us drinks....so we got up and left...we said we had to go...it's late....Yeah,I was humiliated....in front of others....the worst thing is that other guys that were with us that night payed for drinks their girls orderd....so,I was the exception...and I really didn't like that...
And once ,he gave me a lift home and said ''You know,I should charge you for gas''and he was only half kiding....The worst thing is that he really liked me...that was the wierd thing...If I had stayed with that guy for another day I would have lost the little dignity I had left...but that's just me,you know when somebody humiliates or hurts me I make them pay...I can't let people walk over me...I live by the rules of mafia :) you know,somebody hurts you and you hurt him 3 times more... jelena
You are not suppose to ask...it should go without saying....I mean you went out for the first time...don't ask her to open her wallet,it's just rude...and if she has any manners she will offer to pay her share... but you are not suppose to take the money the first time unless you never wanna see her again...There are some rules,you know.....I didn't make them....
