If a thread gets moved or deleted it's basically because it contains content that goes against the forum rules.
Anything related to Haram topics (bear in mind that this is 'Dubai' forum) therefore topics which go against local sensibilities and might be seen as offensive.
Foul language, abuse, attacks, drugs, s.e.x etc etc. Soliciting members, giving out contact info etc etc
At the top of each section it clearly states what is and what is not acceptable on the forum - yet people always forget to read it. The forum rules also state what is and is not allowed.
Therefore, given that the rules are there, no explanation is necessary. If a post goes against these rules it will be removed.

Because it's really not appropriate content. Plus it was encouraging our 'escort' friend to keep posting her details. And sometimes we really don't have the time or will to sit and edit individual posts, so it's easier to ditch the whole thing.

Fair enough.
So I read the "rules" at the very top it states:
"Due to the fact that this is an open forum please abstain from using abusive language.
You are free to use any language you wish in Fight Club forum".
No where does it say that the net nannies can delete posts at their wim becuase of their own personal biases and "sensibilities".
The post asks that users "please abstain from using abusive language".
Are you trying to "protect" whom, again? Or are you on a power trip?

It's a moot point, I already told FD that his original subject was not why it was deleted, but that a woman advertising herself as an escort kept posting there and I really couldn't be bothered to sit there an edit the whole thing.
