Awww...don't cry! There are some lovely places to go during Eid. Daytime I can recommend any of the big parks. Try Creek Park, they have a huge amount of space and it will never feel packed. The government sometimes puts on entertainment there as well, particularly as there is a new festival called Eid in Dubai this year.
Safa Park has a small funfair.
Jumeirah Beach Park will always be lively and the beach will be active.
In the evenings, head for one of the outdoor venues such as Irish Village or the Barasti Bar. All of them will have live music, which has been missing for the last month.
If you want to get away, head up to Umm Al Quwain and try out Dreamland Aqua Park, thats great fun. Alternatively for a quieter time, Al Ain is a very nice day trip. Go to the zoo, have tea in the cafe in the centre of the oasis palm plantation in the centre of town, or just head up to the top of Jebel Hafeet and check out the sunset. Mubizrah Park at the bottom of Jebel Hafeet is also worth a look. Sheikh Zayed and now Sheikh Kalifah have poured millions into turning the desert green here with a massive irrigation project. The Falaj water courses are fascinating.
Lots of old forts around Al Ain...but a lot of roundabouts too!
