Driving around this place makes me smile, what's with all the plastic seat covers on the brand new cars? What's the point of keeping the seats good for the next person if you have suffer torture of sitting on a Lilo all summer?
Just wondering....

I'm not sure if it is to protect the car so you can re-sell it for more, or for showing off that you have a new car.
Either way, I could think of nothing worse than sitting on a plastic covered seat for years. Plus it's not just the seats, some still have the plastic on the roof too.

It's stupid - may as well buy a sofa for the house and leave it in the delivery plastic too :) Years ago it was common in the UK, but mainly for people who were mean by nature - some would even fit strech nylon covers that looked and felt awful, all with the intent of getting more for the car when they sold it.
I knew one bloke who used to park his car on a road with uneven camber - he would park in a different direction on alternate days to even out the wear on the suspension.

This is just silly and desperate lol
Seats can be looked after with the right detailing products.
