That's a flick with Jennifer Love Hewitt and that Brit guy I forgot what his name is :? but I agree that's a really good film. 4.5/5
I would have to say Tristan and Isolde is on the top of my list. :)

I never watched Titanic, just few clips here and there and I was not impressed.
Just felt lonely and watched a different kind of movie, its called City of Amber. The story goes like
" To save the human race, an underground city was built. For generations, the City of Ember flourished but now Ember's powerful generator is failing and the lamps that illuminate the city are starting to flicker.
Two teenagers in a race against time, must search Ember for clues that will unlock the ancient mystery of the city's existence, and help the citizens escape before the lights go out forever. "
Its not really romantic, and overall weak in direction, but what I liked is the message that was passed to the human race.
Good night

Trust a Frenchman to think that production line soft porn is romance. Betty Blue surely is better???
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, not a traditional romance, but anything by Peter Greenaway is astonishing.

Sorry Red Chief, just noticed you also chose Betty Blue, by its French title. It's a great film.

Sounds nice, but don't you find Bollywood films a bit formulaic, or are they getting more original in content? I love the music though...

I agree, especially the relation/romance between the lambs.

Betty Blue is censored name, that hides nature of the film...
Another good Franch romantic movie is "Masculin Féminin" from Jean-Luc Godard.
As for Greenway I like "Drowning by Numbers", a little bit weird..
"Last tango in Paris" is also good...

I was too quick to write that. I should have said Hannibal - it was the romantic dinner at the end that I thought was sweet.

I just remembered another Greenaway film I didn't see for a long time, A Zed and Two Noughts. It's more about finding a way to cope with the tragedy of grief after loss than about romance, but it's an incredible film.

Hey! whats wrong with a cyborg or a soldier giving all he has, even his life just to protec her love interest (the leading lady). That amids all the conflict love still blooms. I dont see anything wrong with it or gayish with it? Maybe its the way you think which is something wrong...hehehe peace. "always look on broader and brighter side of life"
