Well generally you would get some sort of discount if you could manage to pay the years rent in advance....
But saves a lot on your utilities, food bills and shopping as you are left twiddling your thumbs for the rest of the year... :lol:

Since Dubai is generally filled with expats, the incidents of people leaving before the end of a lease is high.
Landlords want a years worth of rent to avoid issues surrounding those who simply flee.
It's just to protect their interests.

Correct, however, down in Abu Dhabi, 1 cheque is the norm, not the exception.
