Naa, as a single guy living all alone in this big city there are many nights that go by on frugal diets. And when the fridge does get stocked, damn do I hog.
I'm on the lookout for a cook. Someone who could come over and cook me two meals a day. How much do you reckon it'll cost me?

There is a recent thread that has the word "Yummy" in it. This lady cooks meals and delivers them. She posted her email address on it.

I still can't believe I ate the whole pack of pork cubes from Spinneys (cooked with sweet dark soy sauce & gravy) in just two meals. I hope the cholestrol level is fine :D Normally I cook and eat more veggies & eggs.
Now I'm thinking next time to cook Tom Yam Goong. I need something spicy to cheer up this boring days.

Problem with those places are that the prawns are usually small and they don't really clean them (you know, slit them down the back and remove (I'm gagging now - too early to think about that!) that long vein with the crap in it.

Right On...who knows if all these outlets bother to devein the prawns. Who knows if the fish is fresh at all, at the end of the day sadly, it's the marinade that makes the dishes here not the freshness of the fish!
That's why as a rule I never eat fish and pork dishes prepared outside my kitchen.
Chocs you sure the prawns are deveined ?

And how can anyone be certain the prawns are not stale? I mean once they're crisp fried you would'nt even know the difference.

I didn't get on the scale for the first week. No much change in what I ate, just smaller portions - but I tend to eat healthy in any event. And no exercise!!!
Got them at Life Pharmacy - they were having a sale - buy 2 get 1 free. There is also a detox liquid. Read where it tastes just like grape juice. Google it and you will find that it does have alot of other benefits. I had absolutely no side effects, like you get from diet pills which are loaded with caffeine. If nothing else, it's good for detox.

Your friends must have been walking through Little Odessa in Brooklyn. Obesity is a life style with the Russian women there and I suspect anywhere you find farmers.

You took it personal again and is getting defensive. I didn't ask you from what weight you lose 9Kg but I have some intuition that it wasn't 50Kg.
Anyway internationaly acknowledged that obesity is rather forte of Big Mac nation than Russians. 8)
I doubt that tourists, regardless of their nationality, visit such backwater like Brooklyn or Bronx. They are both very far from tourist routes.
P.S. You will laugh but Odessa (big one) isn't in Russia. In SU era there was distinctive dialect of Russian language in Odessa - its inhabitance used mostly Russian vocabulary but mixed Russian and Yidish grammer.
It was infinite source of jokes that always started from the same frase "As it would be spoken in Odessa...".

I know exercise is a must!!! But I'm the poster girl for "Lazy"!!! I'm at the weight I should be but a bit lighter isn't such a bad thing is it?
You see, I think about exercising as I know it serves more purposes than weight loss, but by the time I finish thinking about it I'm exhausted!!!!

He-he, I have to agree. At my taste there is nothing as disgusting as a girl with hard muscules, especially on her back. It's possible to drop some fat but what you can do with this heap of iron muscules.
It only looks good from distance.

I tried aerobics years ago and thought I would just die!!!
I was blessed with great genes and fat was never an issue for me. Aerobics: fast, slow, don't matter. It falls under the category of "exercise", and my exercise routine is minimal at best.
Having said that, I'm off to do some exercise right now - going to make a cup of coffee!!! Working my legs and arms as I do so. Then I'll probably have to take a rest from the exhaustion!!! What to do???

I don't exercise, sleep longer, have breakfast, eat more, but still it's difficult to gain back my 2kg deficit out of 5kg I dropped since several months ago due to stress. I believe in order to control the body weight, being happy or stressed matter more than just food, diet, & exercise.

Fitness is a lifestyle that encompasses a physical dimension and a spiritual dimension. The Physical Dimension - Sleep, Nutrition and Exercise while the Spiritual One is Peace of Mind, Contentment and Lack of Stress.
Unless all these aspects are accounted for I'm afraid just trips to the gym, or some weight busting pills ain't gonna work.
