Well if I list what music I listen to, the forums will crash so I'll just list genres\subgenres with an example or two :P
- Metal
- Doom Metal: November's Doom, Paradise Lost, Amorphis
- Gothic Metal: The Gathering, Lacuna Coil
- Gothic/Doom Metal: Tristania, Sirenia, Therion.... My fav metal genre
- Symphonic Gothic/Doom: Haggard
- Electro. Not really the commercial electro you listen to on the radio. I really like the "Kill the DJ" label: Chloe, Jennifer Cardini... Other DJs I like are Todd Gardner, Ivan Smagghe, Trentemoeller, Royskop
- Commercial/Alternative. Only stuff that stands out like: The Killers, Red Hot Chilli Pepper, Pink Floyd, No Doubt, Garbage...
- Jazz, classical, opera.... No real favorites nor do I listen to anything in particular. But whenever I get a chance to listen to some I enjoy it.
-French classics. Not oldies, more like stuff by any good singer.
And that's all I guess...

Listening to The One - Whey compilation
This compilation doesn't exist on the web. You will not find any info about it for some reason. My boss was listening to it one day and I just went to the nearest Virgin store and bought it (City Center). If you like lounge music you'll love this compilation!

His album is very good though, I like it alot. I like Butterflies because of the fusion sound but I guess it's an acquired thing for some people, but I'm really into that sort of thing right now.

Paul Van Dyke - Politics of Dancing 2
True PVD fans will know this if they went to his concert at peppermint club.

AV, PVD was terrible at Peppermint. God knows how he got voted Number 1 DJ, he couldn't decide what sort of music to play. I've definately heard him do better.
XRW-147
I couldn't have put it better myself Chocs. Waited all that time for him to come on and then I thought the guy who warmed up for him did a much better job. Gotta give him credit the first 15 minutes of his set was good, the rest was sub par.
Chocoholic
Nelson or MadJam, yeah that guy is awsome, he should just play on his own, he was great before Sander aswell.

I like the first two (older albums) but never heard of Agalloch. I'll have to look it up. Anyway my favorite genre is actually the "beauty and the beast" genre. A la Tristania if you wish. Angelic woman voice + growls... Oh man, ppl who don't know what I'm talking about must think I am crazy
BTW, if you don't know Epica, Penumbra, Lacrimas Profundere and Trail of Tears you should definitely try to find some of their albums. Oh and IMO the absolute best album in the "beauty and the beast" genre is "Velvet Darkness they fear" by Theatre of Tragedy... Simply put: orgasmic
