I hate wireless routers, especially if there are more than 3 of them cloe by.
Today i went BONKERS when i noticed there were 15 !!!! wireless linksys network routers all up! they completly screwed up my wireless connections.
I was getting connected for 10 minutes, then nocked offline now and then. The whol eoffice were yelling at me!
i went crazy moving the router around the room and experimenting with the different channels :(
so far i managed to get connected!! lets see what going to happen in a few days, if we get knocke don and off again.
My final decision is to by a wored router and go wired.
^ian^
The fact there is only really 7 channels when taking overlap into account, does make it somewhat difficult if there are a lot of routers in the same proximity on close channels.
For a better explanation (which probably contradicts what I just said) check out #Channels_and_international_compatibility.
If there's other access points in range, this makes it somewhat difficult, even when on an open channel you will get interference from other channels parallel to the channel you're on.
If you don't absolutely need wireless, go wired, as it's a far better and more secure solution. Even a perfectly configured wireless network can go night night with interference from other devices in nearby range.

Tell me abt it :(
I talked to my boss, and we agreed to buy a large router and have all the cables run across from the roof.....wont be a very pretty site (wires dangling down from the wall for each user). We have no choice, i did everything i could today, moved the wireless router etc. no use....they all knocked me off!
and after 7:00pm, everything was fine (thats coz everyone went home)
so i guess ill wait for a few more days for the heat to increase...that will force my boss to take measures.
