Is an employment visa the same as a residency visa??...I have my employment visa and plan on taking it to a bank to secure a loan so I can rent accomodation.

Residence visa - permission to live in the UAE
Employment visa - permission to enter the UAE because you have a job
Work Permit / Labour Card - permission to work in the UAE
