Are there any University students on this forum? How are the standard of universities in the greater Dubai area and life on campus.
I'm a medical student in Pakistan , looking to transfer to a school there.
Any suggestions?

For medical education these are some options (maybe all of them)
Dubai
- postgraduate only
- women only maybe
- related to DMC
Ajman
- in Ajman, does MBBS and more
Ras Al Khaimah
- also MBBS I think
- part of RAK MHSU
For Sharjah, try Sharjah University or American University of Sharjah but I don't know of medical courses that they offer.

AUS (American University of Sharjah) doesn't have medical. Why do you want to do medical in dubai ? The education here (for outsiders) at a reputable university is going to be very expensive. Why not complete your medical in Pakistan and then maybe plan on getting further experience outside ?

very true, universities here are over charging fees like hell! one subject in my current university here costs enough for a whole four year course in my home country...

Universities in Dubai over-charge ?
Really, I thought they are beacons of education and all about integrity

I know universities are very expensive and I definately won't be getting as much clinical experience but I am pretty desperate to transfer because my med. school has been closed for weeks now b/c of the terrorist attacks in pakistan and things are getting alot worse!

Seek amnesty from your neighbour good Ol' India !
I'm sure they may make an exception and open their doors for a Paki medical novice in their hundreds of competent medical schools. They surely fair better in the over all empathy and human rights list in comparison to you'll.
And at the end of the day, I think anyone in this forum would prefer being treated by an Indian educated doctor rather than a pakistani one simply due to the level of competency, skill and education levels being better in the former country.
Any teaching going on today ? 8)
