You may also ask for Acid or H+ blockers. They tend to help in the healing process because they dont allow for more damage to be done.
Definitely check with a DR. though. They are the only ones who can give you the best advice.
Guardasil
Ask to be tested for the bacteria Helicobacter Pylori, or H. Pylori.
This bacteria lives inside your stomach, and makes a hole to live in your stomach lining. The result is a peptic ulcer or stomach ulcer, which is painful. You can get H. Pylori from drinking from the glass of a person infected with it.
Anyways, you will get an ammonia test, they make you drink special medicine and then measure how much ammonia you breathe out.
If you are positive for H. Pylori, then they will give you antibiotics to kill it.
Note, you may have GERD, gastric esophageal refulx disease, and it could be due to other things. You need to get an endoscopy done to see if your esophagus (throat) is ok and also your stomach. You also may get a colonscopy done, and check your stool for blood with a special kit.
Do not take any NSAIDs with ASA (aspirin) as they will burn your stomach.
Worst case scenario is that you have a bleeding ulcer in your stomach....THAT IS REALLY REALLY PAINFUL.

mmm....what's so special about ASA? Shouldn't the advice be do not take anything for pain or fever except paracetamol? ASA is no worse than ibuprofen and even cox 2 inhibitors aren't suitable.
