The Major
Has anyone else heard this:
Below is the latest road closure for tomorrow from 6am – 5pm:
Al Khail Road closed
SZR closed from Salik to Salik
Jumeirah Beach Road closed from Al Thanya to Jumeirah Corporate office (far side of Madinat)
Al Wasl closed from Al Thanya to Dubai Police
Looks like nobody is going to work or school tomorrow :(

Last year there was a horrific bus crash on Sheikh Zayed Road on almost the exact spot of the Al Barsha toll gate. It pretty much paralysed Dubai for the whole morning... blocking traffic all the way back to Sharjah.
Believe it.

Jumeirah 1 to Deira -> head down Beach Rd. take Shindagha tunnel and then sort yourself out from there.

Back in Bangalore our office is near to the air port road.. so whenever a highprofile fool is passing by, they used to cordon off the road.. I remember how we used to swear at them national and inter national leaders who made us wait for 20 mins on the way back from work..

I couldn't believe at first that the supposedly most progressive city in the Middle East will be entirely shut down for Bush. He will then say tomorrow how amazingly traffic-free Dubai is.
