I am really wondering what they mean with the word "executive" in Dubai, in Sweden or any other part of the world (I think) it does mean that you are some kind of a CEO. But while I was searching for a job, allmost all of the job titles had the word "executive" in it. Are they only executives in Dubai? And the thing that makes me wondering is that they write for example " Sales executive wanted with 2 years experience", how can you be an executive with only two years of experience?
Can someone please clear this up for me? :shock:

Executive here is more like a "person" or "agent". It's mostly a middle-level position before becoming a Manager. (Trainee >> Executive >> Manager >> Director/VP >> President)
Yes, it is quite different from the way the world perceives that title.

I think that sales executive is the same like sales associate
executive = asscociate =agent
here many things lost their true meanings.

I think when it comes to work permit, if you are called a manager there are stricter requirements - you need a degree? But not for "executive" which could explain why the title is used much more.
