There are probably millions of ways to get rid of a girl.....Many just to common and predictable.
Know any that sound realistic?
These r the ones i recently used, and boyeh they didnt sound convinving.
1. Sorry for not pivking up the phone for a week after ur 300th miss call. was too bust at work.
2. Went to the dentist to extract a teeth...was in pain for a week, that why i cudnt talk.
yeah they all sound crapy, u guys have any good ones?

It honestly never was a big deal for me. Oh I am no monster or Dave, but when I break up it's usually time to break up. And funnily I always manage to stay friends with my ex, and things explode a few weeks, months later. ALWAYS. Seriously I've never broken up with a girl and cut the ties immediately. I personally have no problem being friends with an ex, but I guess the other way round is a "little" different.
Anyway I won't comment on this further as it's something that is and should remain personal. It's not something to laugh about unless the relationship was a mistake to begin with.

Hmm, I guess some people just can't turn the page easily. I mean imagine a life with their ex's as "just" friends. This is always the case for me with my ex's. At first it works then after a while they start getting closer again or getting pissed if I spend too much time with my friends without calling them and boom, it explodes. ALTHOUGH we both agreed on the beginning that it was OVER and that we would both be "friends", respect the other's intimacy.
Once, I started dating another girl a couple weeks after I broke up with another and I ended up labeled as a pig... And I had ONLY spent 1 month with the first girl before breaking up. What was I supposed to stay single for a year before "moving on"?? :lol: :lol:
I don't know if I am just unlucky or if this happens with everyone. Well most of my friends don't stay friends with their ex's and avoid this issue altogether but I don't want to change my ways because of them! I mean it'd be great to stay friends with someone you spent some great/good moments with...

If you guys live together or have spent a long time together, it is hard to just cut the ties, ben there, done that, got the book, t-shirt and seen the movie.
Also, nobody, and I mean Nobody likes to be "dumped", whether this be a he or she. Its a real slap in the face, especially if the other person still wants to be with you.
Just be honest, open and tell the truth. It will hurt, damnwell it will hurt.

u guys are both true ,,..its always akward after a break up for both sides whats the right way to deal with it? i think it depends on the people and the situation itself .. to me .. i am fine i would like to stay friends and hang out and stuff .. but in some cases it just hurts to be around the person and treat him like a total stranger

It is very difficult to stay friends when it is the other person that broke up with you. You have been hurt (depending on length of relationship), why would you want to stay friends? Love hurts, its a fact.

i think the problem is that ppl try to get immediately in another relationship after braking up. and whether ur the one who steps out or the other, its never pleasant, it always hurts a little.
so i have a recipe that im not sure i developed it consciously or it just happened, but it works. i take my time in getting over and closing that chapter. once i do that, he will become a person and not a guy with whom i had s.e.x with. actually i never wanted to get back or become physical again with any of my exes.

Perhaps that is the problem, some guys think too much. Perhaps we should complete tw@ts and tell her straight and get it over with.
I still say, that you have to take into account how long you have been going out with the person you are breaking up with. sometimes, that can dictate your course of action.

Agree with you Yorky .... the longer you're seeing a person ... or the more serious a relationship you have with them, the more time you should take to give a valid explanation. I don't quite understand the disappear method, or the hide go seek strategy. One way or the other, tell the person its over and move on with it. Its the decent thing to do.

Agreed, you do not throw things away overnight. Relationships are built up over time, they ahve to be. Overtime, you get to know that person pretty damn well, both the good and the bad.

heres a nice stupid one....i told her i had to take shower n that id call in 5 minutes......i never did.....and when she called back to asky why i didnt call.....i told her the hot shower was overwhelming that i completly forgot abt her.

And never delete theyre mobile numbers from ur phone.....coz u end up accidently picking up the phone when they call and u dont know whos calling.

Let me tell you something Dave. You're missing the point. ANY 'excuse' used when breaking up will sound lame if the other party didn't see it coming.
Even if she did anticipate the admission of relationship failure, the fact that she didn't do it first is often more irritating than the actual event.

I've used every pathetic desperate phrase ever coined and heard most of them in return - where dumping a guy is concerned, trust me I might as well have stood him up and gone to the cinema / pub / sexy male friend's house/ and left him to work it out.
